Frequently Asked Questions

The Questions We Hear Most

Pricing & Estimates

Free estimates, itemized quotes, no surprises on the invoice.

What does an estimate cost?

Estimates are free. We'll come out, look at the work, and give you a price on paper — itemized, all in, no surprises. You decide from there. No pressure, no penalty if you go with someone else.

How do you price a job?

Every job gets quoted upfront before we start — materials, labor, permit fees if they apply, all in one number. We don't do open-ended hourly work or change orders without your sign-off. If something comes up mid-job that changes the scope, we stop and talk to you before we touch it.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

Yes. For bigger jobs like panel replacements, EV chargers, or generators, we offer flexible payment plans so you don't have to come out of pocket for the full amount day one. We can walk you through the options on the first call.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Check, card, and ACH. For jobs over a few thousand dollars we usually take a 50% deposit to order materials, and the balance on completion. Financing is available on larger jobs.

The Guarantee

2-year warranty and 50% profit back — in writing, on the invoice.

What is the 50% profit-back guarantee?

If we go over our quoted timeline or over our quoted budget, you get 50% of our profit on that job back. In writing. On the invoice. It's the only guarantee of its kind in Northern Colorado, and it's how we keep ourselves honest when we write the estimate.

What does the 2-year warranty cover?

Every part we installed and every bit of labor we did on the job. If something we touched fails inside two years, we come back and fix it on our dime — and where possible we send the same electrician who did the original install so you're not re-explaining the job.

What counts as 'over budget' for the guarantee?

The number on the written estimate is the ceiling. If the final invoice is higher than that number because of something on our end — underestimated labor, wrong materials ordered, a mistake — you get 50% of our profit on the job back. It does not apply if you add scope mid-job or if hidden damage is found that you sign off on addressing.

Has the guarantee actually been paid out?

Yes. It's the whole reason we wrote it into the contract — not as marketing. We're not afraid of it because we estimate carefully, but when we've missed, we've paid. Ask us on the call and we'll tell you the story.

Scheduling & Service

When we can come, how fast, and where we work.

How soon can you come out?

Same day for emergencies and within 2-3 business days for scheduled work. Call us and we'll tell you on the first call — not after we 'check with dispatch.'

Do you offer emergency service?

Yes. After-hours emergency dispatch — a real person answers the phone, not a bot or an answering service. If you've got sparks, burning smells, partial power loss, or a breaker that won't hold, call us.

Do you work weekends?

Our office hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5pm. For true emergencies we dispatch on weekends, but routine scheduled work is weekdays only. Keeps our techs fresh and keeps the rates fair.

What's your service area?

19 towns across Northern Colorado — Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Greeley, Boulder, Longmont, Johnstown, Berthoud, Estes Park, Wellington, Erie, Firestone, Frederick, Superior, Evans, Severance, Milliken, Fort Lupton, and Feather Lakes. Based in Loveland, central to all of it.

Services

What we do and what we don't — all under one license.

Do you do commercial electrical work?

Yes. About 22% of our work is commercial — subpanels, service upgrades, commercial lighting, power distribution, thermographic imaging for insurance, and multi-tenant buildings. We work with facility managers, GCs, and property managers across the Front Range.

Do you wire hot tubs, saunas, and pool equipment?

Yes. Hot tub circuits, 240V sauna setups, pool pump and heater wiring — all of it. These need dedicated circuits and often a permit. We handle the permit and the inspection.

Do you install EV chargers?

Yes. Level 2 chargers for Tesla, Ford, Rivian, and every other manufacturer. We'll walk you through the options if you're not sure what charger to buy — often the best choice isn't the one the dealer recommends. Hardwired 240V installation, panel load check, permit included.

Do you install generators and Tesla Powerwalls?

Yes. Home generators (natural gas and propane) with automatic transfer switches, commercial standby generators, and Tesla Powerwall battery backup systems. Full install, permit, utility coordination, and commissioning.
